The research is driven from a geographical point of view, rather than a technical, materials or business standpoint. Nevertheless these aspects are addressed together with economic, ecological, geo-political and socio-cultural considerations.

Lessons are focused on resource topics, scientific methodology and field trips to local and regional resource and energy companies and installations.
